Announcements

Thank you to all of you who came and tried out. If your name is on the list, I will see you for practice Monday. Please put a parent meeting on your calendars for Thursdsay Aug 29th at 5pm in the media center. You can enter on the west side of the school. I will try to be brief. I need at least one parent and player there.

Our practice schedule will start off with practices Monday-Friday 3-5 pm. We do have Labor Day off and our first game is Thursday Sept 5th. I will be pushing information out for you slowly before our parent meeting and finish up what's needed at the parent meeting. I will also be getting you on gamechanger and putting together a schedule for the random early outs where I am able to hold practice a little earlier as well as any free Fridays. I'm obligated and told by my boss that I'm expected to be holding practice Monday-Friday and I agree with it being such a short season and for me to implement things that are my expectation.
I have loved these last three days. I already said this, but you should be proud of your work ethic, hustle, and how you did.
You made it difficult to make cuts. You should also be proud of how respectful you were to us coaches and each other.
The girls I decided to let go were absolute gems and I wanted so badly to manage them all. Like I said yesterday, we are a very competitive school with girls playing at a high level and in order to run efficient pracitices and develop anyone, we have to get the numbers down to a reasonable size to coach. A lot of thought went into the decisions. When we put together who would be starters and who would play or go in as subs, if players possibly would be our 3rd or 4th option before we use them at a position, or not a lot of secondary positions to try, we decided it would cause frustration. It is also not fair in my mind to ask parents to pay all the fees when we knew they may not see any time. For those not on the list, please keep putting yourself out there and working toward goals. I hope all of you feel empowered and I hope you gained something from your time with my coaching staff and myself.

I'm very hopeful and serious when I say to feel free to email me with any interest in helping our team in a manager position because there are a lot of moving parts and I can't run a program without wonderful managers. Please consider applying by emailing me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If the list is too large, I will reach out to you with the application process but I want to give it to softball players first. The vision I have for you girls if you're interested is not only to help me with daily tasks that lighten my load, but I'd love to use actual ball players to help with drills or stations and potentially take reps when the tees
are open or when theirs an opportunity without paying fees. The get to be a part of the coaching and learning. However, I wouldn't want it take away from you developing on your comp teams.
